Based out of Palo Alto, California, TrustedID has been one of America’s most well-respected identity protection companies since its inception in 2004. At the heart of the company is a never-ending desire to provide its customers with the very best in identity theft protection and control as well as personal information management.

Anyone could benefit from their identity theft protection. To find out more about TrustedID, the country’s leading provider, continue reading on below.

Services (10 out of 10)

There is simply no comparing TrustedID to any other identity theft protection company out there. They are in a class all of their own. In our opinion, they are the absolute best at what they do.

The bulk of Trusted ID’s services include features like:

  • 3-bureau credit monitoring
  • Personal information monitoring from a number of different sources
  • Computer protection
  • Medical record protection (one of the only companies that offers this)
  • Access to all three of your credit reports and credit scores.

Though their services are, for the most part simple and straightforward (making them incredibly easy to use), there are a lot of them. The basics, as mentioned above, are all part of their TrustedID IDEssentials and set you up strongly in regards to protection from identity theft. They access a wide variety of resources to make sure that you are always protected.

To keep you even safer, TrustedID engages in Internet black market monitoring. This ensures that only you have access to your Social Security Number, credit cards, and bank accounts. It helps spot and fight any suspicious activity attached to your personal information. TrustedID also looks for instances where your name or address might have been changed or used in a fraudulent way.

Furthermore, and this feature of their IDEssentials service is incredibly valuable, they begin working towards your protection as soon as you sign up. There is no waiting or huffing and puffing involved – you get what you sign up for and you get it as soon as you sign up for it.

Better yet, TrustedID actually takes your information and looks back 36 months into the past to make sure that you have not been a victim of identity theft or other fraudulent or suspicious activity in the past.

TrustedID’s home protection services are worth noting as well. They help further protect your identity with a host of anti-spyware, anti-phishing, and anti-keylogging computer software. All of this comes free with your membership. They also give you the ability to opt out of junk mail and lending offers in both your email and snail mail mailboxes. Junk mail is, of course, annoying, but it is also a security threat as identity thieves can use it to gain your personal information.

Pricing (10 out of 10)

TrustedID offers the absolute best value for the services that they provide. You seriously aren’t going to find anything that even competes with their pricing anywhere else. This is especially true of their IDEssentials package (which, once again, you can receive a 14-day FREE trail for just for being a visitor of Project Debt Relief).

A TrustedID individual plan starts at just $9.38 per month when paid annually. When paid month-to-month, it costs slightly more at $13.49 per month. Their family plans are only $18.00 per month when paid annually with $25.19 per month payments if you opt for the month-to-month route.

The family plan is a great bet for most people living in households with more than one person present. It is a little bit less than twice the cost of two individual plans so it works wonderfully for a two-person household.

However, as you’re able to include everyone that lives in the house, TrustedID’s family plan is especially good for those families that have a lot of members living altogether. Just note that the family plan provides credit monitoring, credit reports, and credit scores to only two adults, while providing the rest of the services to everyone living in the household.

Usability (10 out of 10)

TrustedID is a very easy identity protection service to use. It features a user-friendly design and interface that helps you understand what you’re doing and why. A number of excellent additional features – such as fraud alarms and alerts – are included to help you personalize the experience and take every aspect of your personal security under control.

Customer Service (10  out of 10)

Like any top-of-the-line company, TrustedID comes out on top as far as customer service goes. From the moment that you sign-up, you’re a part of the TrustedID family and they treat you like a valued customer.

In fact, you can reach a customer service representative at any time of the day or, in other words, 24/7. Better yet, these representatives are knowledgeable about their services, extremely helpful, and beyond courteous. If you have a question or a concern with your TrustedID service, there is no reason not to call them.

Though it’s not necessarily customer service, TrustedID’s ID theft service warranty is more than worth mentioning. It covers all of its members for up to $1,000,000 in event of identity theft. As most instances of identity theft result in far smaller losses than this (and you are usually not legally responsible for paying back the amount), the warranty is more than enough to cover you in the extremely unlikely case that you suffer such an emergency while with TrustedID.

The Verdict

In this modern day and age, no one should be without the proper identity theft protection. And though there are quite a lot of companies out there offering such services, none of them come anywhere near the quality of TrustedID.

At the end of the day, TrustedID offers the very best services, the very best pricing, and the very best customer service around. They will keep you and your family safe.
